East Coast Datacom, Inc., a Florida-based data communications specialist, announces Defense Logistics Agency(DLA) award. The contract award is for hardware and technical support.

East Coast Datacom, Inc. is providing the Sync2IP, a device that transports serial communications at data rates up to 128Kbps over a 10/100 IP network. The Sync2IP converts up to four full duplex Synchronous serial data streams into a single IP packet stream. The serial stream consists of transmit and receive data with control signals that are converted and transmitted via the IP packets. The Sync2IP extends the life cycle of existing legacy serial communications equipment with the benefit of IP Communications.

The Sync2IP is available in a 1U rack mount chassis mounted with AC or an optional DC power supply.
