The Rate Adapter(Model:RA-64/128K) allows low speed async RS-232 DTE equipment to transmit over a high speed 64k or 128k sync communications link. The RA-64/128k supports transmitting async data rates up to 115.2k over 128k sync lines.

Typical examples for utilizing the RA-64/128k are low cost clear channel 64k or 128k synchronous leased lines or VSAT communication links.
