East Coast Datacom, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of communication products, announces software upgrades to the EDS-10G WAN Delay Emulator. The EDS-10G now supports an extensive list of script commands to control the instrument. Script command support is an important element in automated testing environments for network stress testing or network performance testing. Stress testing allows the network test engineer to create an adverse network environment that include fixed network latency and variable network latency. Other important test elements of network impairment testing include dropped packets, reordering of packets and duplicated packets. The EDS-10G Network Emulator is the ideal solution for such testing.

The EDS-10G script commands support all features of the EDS-10G presenting the user with a rich, easy to use interface for automated testing. Another useful tool released is the ability to remote monitor the EDS-10G hardware system and notification of system hardware performance.

The EDS-10G also has added automated software logic to allow users who upgrade or add 10G NIC Cards an automated means of upgrading the Intel X710 NIC card to the proper revision for optimal Line Rate performance.

The Sync2IP now ships standard with a web GUI interface, Command Line Interface and the new Script Interface for automated testing environments supporting network impairment testing. The EDS-10G has a 3-year warranty covering software upgrades, factory support and all hardware.
