About East Coast Datacom, Inc

East Coast Datacom, Inc. is a customer oriented, high technology enterprise which was formed in 1994 to design, manufacture and support Wide Area Network Equipment. We manufacture the broadest line of Network Emulators in the network test equipment market supporting over 18 different interfaces for Serial, Telco and Ethernet.

For Ethernet, the WanRaptorâ„¢ Network Emulator allows users to test and stage critical network equipment adding network latency, loss, Jitter and re-ordering impairments. For Serial data and Telco the RDS-PLUS delay simulator is a modular, network link error and delay emulator that provides a realistic simulation of physical network behavior with respect to time delays and bit errors.

We also manufacture an extensive line of legacy network equipment critical to the military, government and Fortune 500 companies. These include data broadcast splitters, digital sharing devices, interface converters and many other network adapters. Our highly respected Sync2IP Converter is a unique solution for Sync data to IP conversion as we support any sync data protocol.

We hope you enjoy our collection of products we present on our web site. Keep in mind we can modify or design a new solution for your unique application.

East Coast Datacom, Inc., a Florida-based data communications accessory specialist, announces the Nx64-MUX_DD, a 16 Port Time Division Multiplexer (TDM). The 16-Port Dual Nx64-MUX_DD is a modular TDM Multiplexer designed to support up to sixteen sub-channel ports from 1.2Kbps to 768Kbps in both Sync and Async formats.

The unit is designed with a pair of composite ports with variable port rates from 64Kbps to 2.048Mbps in 64k increments for maximum flexibility. The composite port data interface is software selectable as RS-232, RS-530, V.35, RS-422/449 or X.21.

The dual composite architecture allows for the distribution of channels over two aggregate links of equal bandwidth. This permits the utilization of the 2X bandwidth either to achieve up to ~4 Mbps total bandwidth, or to allocate spare bandwidth for channel recovery in the event either link fails. For the latter configurations, channels may be assigned with either high or low priority, which assures that high priority channels remain in service on the surviving link.

The Nx64-MUX_DD key user features include, Non-Disruptive Channel Allocation, Embedded HDLC Management Channel for remote configuration and control, Software Select Data Interfaces, Front Load Cards and an 85-264 VAC Power Supply.

The Nx64-MUX_DD is the third generation TDM multiplexer released by East Coast Datacom, Inc.

The Nx64-MUX_DD list price, fully loaded is $3549.00 US dollars with immediate availability. The unit is RoHS compliant.
